Repost, apologies for any repetition, original message MIA.
It's deja vu all over again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

While at a cafe today, reading a complimentary Sunday tabloid, I saw an
advertisement for a Lexmark printer that could scan films, and read memory
cards, direct to print. Whether it can send the file to a card in its
internal reader is something I don't know, but worth investigating if you're
interested. Alas I can't check the model number because the newspaper
stayed at the cafe when I left.

FWIW I've never been impressed by the 'photo-quality' samples from Lexmark
printers in stores, but OTOH Kodak selected Lexmark as its supplier when it
marketed its own computerless inkjet photo-printer a few years ago, and the
Kodak versions for some reason showed better samples than the look-alike
Lexmarks. I also slightly recall that Lexmarks have reputedly the worst ink
economy of any brand, but that may not matter to you if printing
capabilities are surplus to your needs.

regards,
Anthony Farr
