I wish I could afford it but I've got a number of lenses I'm thinking of jettisoning that I just don't use enough
or at all. That 135 was high on my wish list for a very long time.

Greetings, all. Longtime PDMLers know me as a Ricoh enthusiast and self-styled expert in obscure third-party lenses. I participated in PDML on and off from 1999 through 2002. I'm still shooting exclusively with film, excluslively with manual-focus bodies and lenses. But no longer excluslively with primes: I just bought a Tamron SP LD 80-200/2.8 zoom. I got tired of switching between my 90, 135, and 200 when shooting school events in auditoriums.

Like Steve Larson, I am a zealous fan of Vivitar Series One lenses. So it is with sadness that I have decided to sell my Series One 135/2.3K lens. But my Tamron zoom now covers that focal length for special events, and the Vivitar is just too darn big and heavy to use as a general-purpose lens.

In K mount (but not in screwmount), this lens is VMC multicoated. It can focus to 3 feet, for a magnification of 1:4.5. It weighs about 24 ounces (675g). I have a photo from Fred that I'm sure he won't mind my sharing--maybe it's on his website--that shows it alongside four Pentax 135s.

I would guess that the condition is EX or EX+; I just don't pay attention to these things. The glass is clean and has been protected by me and by the former owner by a filter.

The K-mount 135/2.3 is a rare and special lens, and I want to keep it in the family, so I am offering it to PDMLers first. If there are no takers by the end of August, I'll offer it on eBay.

My price is $200--about what KEH is currently charging for each of three used Pentax 135/2.8 F and FA lenses. The original Series One box is included.

I will ship anywhere. I accept PayPal (cash or credit card), BidPay, or US or international money order. Insured shipping is $10 within the USA, $14 to Canada, at cost (with insurance) everywhere else.

If you don't have the money now, I will accept $100 now, the rest by the end of September.
