Does anyone have experience of the newer (APO Macro Super II) version of this lens? How does it compare to its predecessor (the APO Macro Super, not the DLs)?
Has anyone seen any reviews for either of these too? I am interested in sharpness wide-open, flare control, distortions (where I can be very forgiving :-) and bokeh mainly, and I don't intend to use it above 200-220mm. Just trying to widen the search for a long travel-zoom, as I cannot readily find the SMC-F and I am not convinced by Pentax's newer offerings. I use these beasts for informal portraits mainly and the odd bird-on-the-chimney shot. Thanks, Kostas
