I'm looking for (well for now just looking to know which ones) any brand cameras (not too... well forget about e.g. Zenit) having a K mount.
I know about Pentax ones, I myself got very recently a KX which I already
love. But I'm looking to offer one to my father. At a time, he owned a
Yashica (M42) fully manual which he enjoyed much. He now uses a (P)Z-10 and
has completely lost interest in doing things himself. But looking at my KX
seems to awake some feelings :). I have lenses enough not to care about that
too much but would like to offer him a good old mechanical one but a K mount
one.
Maybe non Pentax ones will be less expensive so I want to evaluate any affordable option. I was thinking about some Ricoh like KR-5 and so on. However, I'm not quite sure how to be sure a camera is fully manual without looking at its manual.
I found a listing of K mount cameras here http://www.butkus.org/chinon/ultimate_k-mount.htm but I'm not sure: I think that a flash sync at 1/100 or better should be electro as well as 1/2000. But then I'm lost.
If you have any idea... I like the idea to convert him back to fully manual shooting and away from bzzzzzz tidit shlkzzzzzzzzzzz :D
