The 70-210 f4.5 vivitar that I'm familiar with is a late 80's early 90's compact with either a 49 or 52mm filter thread, (I can't
remember which). It's a neat little one touch, very light. Not at all like the 90-180 macro, which is optically superior to
everything else in it's class, (IMHO).

90-210 /3.5 Flat Field Macro

I think that might be the 90-180/4.5 Flat Field Zoom (indeed a fantastic macro lens).

There ~are~ actually quite a few Vivitar Series 1 ("VS1")lenses that
are "cult classics", as outlined on Robert Monaghan's "Cult Classics
in Third Party Lenses" site,
http://medfmt.8k.com/third/cult.html#vivitar .

There have been several editions of ~VS1~ 70-210 zooms, but there
are no f/4.5 versions amongst them.
