Antonio;

That's kind of a funny outlook, I don't understand it.
I am a "newbie" to this list, I asked what the "Rules" were and was told
there was only a "general consensus"..
Quite a generous arrangement I think, especially as I own no part, take no
responsibility for, or do any work to further the success of this list. I am
honered to have been welcomed here.

I am very pleased to know what the guidlines are, it helps me get along with
the others who came before me.
You see, I am here to learn and to make new friends. I get the impression
that you are not.
As far as the "OldTimers" having more influence over the guidlines than I, I
would have it no other way.
They have been the ones to make this list what it is today, I feel they have
created a fine list and as such I defer to their judgement and will gladly
adhere to their guidelines. If they were "Rules" I would gladly follow them.

I have tried to be respectful to you and everyone else on this list.
I have apologised to you, and others, when I felt I had stepped out of
bounds, or on toes.

*** I ask only one favor of all of you: ***
Please do not let this be fanned into another flame war.
Let's just keep it what it was intended to be in the first place.
An attempt to guide "newbies" and make them feel more welcome and
comfortable here.

Antonio, there are many opportunities to start lists and discussions on the
internet.
I chose to join one that had been established a while and had a core of
"COF"s to guide me.
Perhaps you would be happier starting your own, where you can be an "Old
Timer" from the very beginning.
As for me I'll stay here and try to be one of the group.
If that means swallowing a little pride, or a little "shut up and put up"
once in a while, so be it.

Don
