we will never have much effect on their market. most of the entire camera
market is young women who are in charge of the family's memories of
important events in their children's lives. by PMAI estimates, this is about
70% of all of the potential camera buyers in North America. they want a box
that gets perfect pictures every time. all they have to do is point the
camera and push a button. they will delete the "bad" ones and print the rest
at a photofinishing kiosk or 1hr photo place. enthusiast's, except during
the earliest part of photography's history (before Kodak), are not important
in the big scheme of things for the major camera companies.
