I use auto focus, but I don't use the flash. Are you using the RTF? I would guess that for weddings you use an external flash, and this shouldn't have much, if any, additional drain on the batteries in the body. 270 was a guess, I didn't have my *ist D in front of me and didn't remember exactly how many raw photos fit on the 4gb microdrive. I usually shoot and delete about 30-50 pictures in the field, but not 100. I've never actually had the batteries die in this camera, I've just changed them after long days of shooting figuring that they might die if I keep going. alex
