I would like to thank everyone for their kind words. I haven't participated in the list for the last
few days because Elton breathed his last breath on July 5th. If I had followed the emergency vet's advice
he wouldn't have had the last 10 days of his life, 8 of which were very good days. He began bleeding internally
July 3rd and he spent the last two days alone in the pet hospital while they tried to bring it under control, which
is the only part I regret, they weren't able to and I that I had spared him that. Even with hs prognosis at best bleak
letting him go was the hardest decision I ever made in my life.

He was a true and faithful friend, a patient model, and the best dog who was ever a part of my life.

Hi Peter
I wish you and your dog all the best and you have my ful sympathy.
These decisive struggles are really cruel!
I hope, your dog can show you somehow what's best.
You followed your heart, but maybe you have to do him another favour and let
him go as a true proof of your love.

greetings
Markus

I rushed him right over to the pet emergency room. x rays
reveal that his body cavity below the diaphragm is
full of fluid, due to internal bleeding. The vet gives me an estimate
