GREAT!!

There is a shutter in the lens. It is actuated by the stop down lever
when the focal plane shutter is tripped.
The 1/8 second shutter speed (this is very important, do not use the
leaf shutter at focal plane speeds other than 1/8 second) allows
enough time for all the mechanical dreck that has to happen.
There is a shutter speed dial on the lens as well as a shutter
cocking dial.
I don't think it possible to use a leaf shutter lens with TTL auto,
although I could very well be wrong.
The flash has to plug into the PC socket on the lens, and of course,
you have to put an adaptor onto the hot shoe to get TTL flash.
Your Metz 45 is probably more accurate in automatic than your Pentax
645 is in TTL anyway.
Also, don't change the shutter speeds on the lens after the shutter
is cocked.
Very bad.
