Thanks for the thoughtful comments throughout the post, I didn't mean to come across to be too critical, I obviously clumsily mis-read your intents. > Remember, I may be one of the only people on this list, perhaps the only > one, who has seen your negatives, and who has had a chance to examine them > critically. You do some good work. Oh yes I forgot, I hope you weren't referring to my first set of slides from the Mamy 7 though? Such is life I guess, I'm just about to embark on a mission to digitally encode all my favourite vinyl since I rarely have the opportunity to settle in and enjoy the ritual of playing the big plastic disks. Now that all my other music is coded and the house is wired for digital audio delivery I figure if I get them into the system at least I'll be able to enjoy them whenever I choose even if I don't have the time for the ritual. I love my film kit particularly the Leica M bodies but I'll tell you honestly they've seen very little use since the I've acquired decent digital cameras. I know digital isn't as capable as B&W film but I'm not so enamoured with the process that I'll shoot film over digital except in medium format. > But that's a > tale for another time and place, perhaps over a nice dinner or a coupla beers, > or whatever. I think you'll find we have a lot more in common than you think. I'm sure, it was last back in 2001 that we had and kind of lengthy chat. I'm hoping that I can get back to the US next year.
