Hi Dick,

In reference to the term "cheap" your brother used, I'll
compare an MZ-S to an LX; I think many of us and others
would not say an LX feels "cheap". :-)

The former weighs 520g while the latter 565g. An MZ-S
dimensions are 136.5x95x64 and the LX's are 144.5x90.5x50.
You can say that these are of almost the same size, and
MZ-S to be a little lighter.

However, I felt an MZ-S to be smaller, and yet a little
heavier than an LX. This feeling shows the build quality
of the new SLR, and I liked it very much.

If you get used to a traditional design (I did:-P), or to a
bulky design of an SLR, at first glance, an MZ-S MIGHT SEEM
cheap, while it is not. For me, its feeling and build
quality can equally compare to those of an LX. So, I don't
think it's cheap, it's excellent on the contrary.

Sorry to be too personal, but this is what I felt when I
grabbed the MZ-S.

Sincerely,
