Soak it in methyl alcohol for a half minute to displace the water, then hang dry it. The alcohol will evaporate much faster than water. Make sure there are no sources of ignition in the vicinity. An old Weegee method was to soak the film in alcohol, and then burn the alcohol off. I think this would be rather risky business myself. When I am in a hurry, I use a hair dryer from about an inch away and cook the water out. William Robb
