I know a guy who has a Leaf Volare' camera back and considers it to be an 18 megapixel camera, since it takes three 6 megapixel shots using red, green, & blue filters. The color accuracy is indeed exceptional (though you can't shoot anything that is not stationary) but the resolution is only 6 megapixels.
