I always liked the Flashgun Casey serialized pulp fiction works by George Harmon Coxe. Later, these became the radio program Casey Crime Photographer staring Staats Cotsworth. Still later, it became the television show Crime Photographer staring Darren McGavin. Coxe also created another series of novels (well over a dozen) with Kent Murdock a private investigator/photographer as the protagonist. I read about these, but never read them. Larry in Dallas
