I suspect that the camera is doing exactly what it thinks it should, and I am just not agreeing with it. If you increase the output of the flash in TTL, all that will happen is that the camera will quench the flash sooner. I am quite impressed that the ist D supports the old analogue flash equipment. My Metz is circa 1985, with the SCA adaptor bought shortly after I aquired my first LX in 1988. William Robb
