If you are right then I understand now what the argument is about. Fair enough. But could they not develop a base body which could sell in 2 flavours - 1 with 35mm mount and one with 645 mount? By hitting 2 markets this would help with R&D costs surely? And they could surely offer full compatibility on both models to the appropriate lenses? Maybe they could even modularise the lens mount and make it workshop swappable, even if not field swappable?
