Bruce If you have the money buy the Pentax FA 100 f2.8. I upgraded from the Sigma and am very happy. The Sigma is very sharp, but has lousy bokeh, which is important in macro shots. I've heard good things about the Tamron, but have never tried it. All should work on the *istD, I know the Pentax does and the 1.5 times magnifier is a bonus for macro work. I still have the Sigma, but I don't want to let it go for too little and I like having a spare incase I drop the Pentax in sea water. Leon http://www.bluering.org.au http://www.bluering.org.au/leon
