There are two different modes that will show you a picture. The histogram only works in one of them. Instant review shows you a picture directly after you take a shot. You can control how long it is shown, it is something like 3 seconds by default. If you press INFO at this stage you will only get the detailed information. You can also press the play button when the screen is blank and it will show you the last picture that you took. At this point you can press the INFO button once to see the histogram and twice to see the detailed information. You can also use the arrows to change pictures and you can zoom in on the picture. None of these operations are available from the instant review. My feeling is that they are only showing the thumbnail image during instant review and not the full size one, so the operations that require the full size image don't work. There have been complaints about this on here and on dpreview, so maybe we'll see a change in the next release of the firmware. alex
