Unfortunately, all they usually do is put a little notice in the editorial, or letters to the editor page. Never makes up for it. Some serious editorial photographers put a penalty clause ($$$) in their contract to cover such events, after all, Dave, at this point the credit is more valuable to you then their piddling little payment is.
