I received two rolls of proccessed film back Saturday, one
Kodak Gold
200 shot with the SF-1 and Sigma 100-300(testing the camera as it had been sitting for
a
year)and one
roll of Portra 400VC shot with a SP and m 135,150 and A 50mm lenses.
Both roll proccessed at a 1 hour place i deal with.
Noticed the Gold 200 roll was very crisp, sharp and contrasty, they way i like them. And
again from the
Portra and Mprimes the pictures seem just a tad soft, not sharp the way i wanted them.
Is this a characteristic of the M lenses, somewhat soft,or could this be that the 1 hour
lab does not
have a proper profile for the Portra.
I'm hoping somethings not out of whack with the SP.I really like it.
There were a few flash shots on the Portra roll and they were the sharpest of the
36.Humm
I suppose i should switch my B&W/Colour cameras(SP and K1000) and see what the M lenses
and the
K1000 body gives me as a test.
If the SF-1 and Sigma combo give me nice sharp images, maybe i should rethink my 35mm
stuff
and
look for an upgrade to the SF-1 as in PZ-1p etc.
