Just like I did not even consider the MZ-5n when I bought the MZ-50. And, you know what? The reason why I now have a MZ-5n (full backwards compatibility) does not apply to the *ist-D! Not that I would ever fork out �1,400 or even a third of that on a camera. But others do. Kostas
