I'd consider substituting the 17-35 Fisheye at the wide end. That's actually a lens that's high on my 'want' list. Not that I'll get a chance to buy one all that soon - buying a *ist-D has more than used up my discretionary spending for a while. At present my 'cover all the bases' kit contains: Vivitar 21-35 A zoom FA 28-105 (the original power zoom model) FA* 80-200 FA* 250-600 Not exactly a kit for the landscape photography the original poster mentioned, Nor is it a lightweight outfit; throw in a couple of bodies, flash, monopod, etc. and the Pelican case tips the scales at a shade over 70lbs - enough to incur excess baggage charges on several airlines, and more than enough to make you wonder just *why* you choose to lug this lot around ...
