Thanks Lon. The amazing thing is, the Tak seems so much brighter and clearer (at f/2) than my two fastest EOS mount lenses - a Canon 85 1.8 and a Sigma 24 1.8. Interestingly, with no focus aids at all other than a plain ground glass screen (that is, no AF confirmation, no split screen of any kind etc), focussing was plain more relaxed and pretty easy. Just shows you how much we rely on these things, when the simplest things can be used instead. And my eyes are past their best.
