Well, Boris,

I decided ~not~ to show the list the 347 other street shots I took with the
lamposts growing out of heads, unexpected strangers walking through the frame,
closed eyes, and all that other stuff. That's what I mean by shooting lots...

As far as "not looking through the viewfinder" until the moment that you shoot,
well, again, that's just shooting lots, getting used to your camera/lens combo,
and pretty much knowing in advance what the camera's viewpoint will be before you
look through the viewfinder. No magic to it, just shooting lots, to figure things
out. The less you have to think about before you depress the shutter release, the
faster and less obtrusively you'll shoot. And, the more you can concentrate on
your surroundings, and find those nice shots, as after a while, you won't even be
conscious of your camera - it will become second nature.

I think, FWIW, that the ME/M 2.8 35mm will be a great combo, for the same reasons
that the MX/2.8 40mm Pancake is a great combo. Small, unobtrusive, quiet. It
should be wonderful on the street.

As for the price of the CL, well, Cotty's selling it for a little bit less than it
would go for on, for instance, eBay, and quite a bit less than KEH. And, with
Cotty (as opposed to some eBay clown you've never seen or heard of before) you
know you'll get satisfaction, and the item will be as he described.

It just happened that last summer, when I bought mine from Dave, I was in an
(ahem) higher financial cycle than I currently find myself. Little did I know
that I was very near the end of that high cycle, elsewise I mightn't have bought
it. Oh well, no regrets...

cheers,
frank
