Film SLRs are are, and have been, a niche market item for quite some time. What has
really been happening in the last decade is the way people communicate. The
computer/internet/e-mail/IM "thing" has created a new type of usage for images. Just
based on the anecdotal observation that my mother never got a CB radio, but uses
e-mail and & IM's on a daily basis, today's electronic communications paradigm isn't
about to revert to the pony express.
