The zooms can be a good tool to have if their quality is good. If A) An excellent zoom comes my way on the cheap or B) I get more confident about my ability to compose, frame, envision my shot; then I will buy it. I don't see either happening in the near future... But hopefully B happens before A or I will be tempted!
