Most of the folks I know are using a computer or a DVD player (some can do this) and a TV to view images. The images are being stored on a hard drive or a CD.

Everyone who's interested ask their friends (who may just be casual photographers) who are using digicams (and DSLRs) their viewing medium. Then come back and tell us. Just an idea.
