For sale: ZX-5n, FA 28-70 F4 AL, and Pentax camera bag.

Worried about your MX or LX going belly up and no longer having lens
compatibility in the future? Worry no longer -- get a ZX-5n! Compatible with
K/M/A/F
and FA lenses, this metal camera body is based on Pentax's famous manual
focus
design and it also auto focuses! Manual focus is achieved with a beep and a
blinking light in the view finder -- a very accurate method. Or get the ZX-5n
as
a second camera body for any Pentax version that you currently have!

Pentax ZX-5n, EXEC condition. It has some slight dust in the view finder and
one small, small scratch next to the viewfinder, but all that is barely
noticeable and it looks great! I bought this from someone on this list five
months
ago and they only had it a year or less. The ZX-5n is a compact camera with a
very good light meter (ever notice how many pictures in each month's PUG are
taken with this camera?). Included are: the original camera strap (saying
Pentax), the Battery Grip FG which uses AA batteries and makes it easier to
grip
(also EXEC), the Pentax Cable Switch F (3.5 feet electrical shutter release
cord
-- I bought new at Adorama), the view finder cap, body cap, Zx-5n box, Switch
F box, camera manual, and warranty/other info.

Looking forward to the *ist D? Stock up on your auto focus lenses now!

Pentax FA 28-70 F4 AL, EXEC to EXEC+ condition. This is a very good zoom with
no obvious optical distortions at either end. I have also found it to be
quite flare resistant, having shot into the sun several times with it when
taking
landscape shots. This lens placed fourth in normal zoom poll conducted by
Arnold Stark last November, with only the: FA 24-90 IF, FA 28-70 F2.8, and A
28-135 F4 coming in ahead of it. It is a very nice size, lightweight, looks
good on
the ZX-5n, and is now pretty hard to find (well, I couldn't find it for sale
used anywhere on the Internet, myself). It will also work on the *ist D when
it comes out. Included are: German-made B+W skylight filter, front and rear
lens caps, and warranty/other info.

Buy both and just for $5 more, I will throw in a Pentax camera bag! It is big
enough to hold the ZX-5n with one longish zoom/prime attached and another one
tucked into a lens pocket. I bought it on ebay new from Henry's about eight
months ago and it is so sturdy it shows very little wear.

I wish I still had a picture of the camera bag, but I appear to have deleted
it. It's not the one you see now at Adorama and elsewhere. It's black, with
stiffish construction, says Pentax in raised silvery letters on the front,
and
the interior dimensions are approximately 9 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches. There is a
zippered net pocket on the lid, a big front zippered pocket that runs the
length
of the bag, and two Velcroed lens holder pockets inside that can be fastened,
unfastened.

Plus US Post Office shipping charges to wherever you are. Straight shipping
charges, no additional "handling" charges. If you want insurance you will
have
to pay extra. I can accept personal checks, money orders, Western Union money
wires, and cash or credit card payments made through PayPal.

If interested, please contact me off list. I will consider offers, but only
if they come fairly close to my prices. And note that my prices will not be
coming down again -- from here it's onto ebay. (I did have the 28-70
overpriced,
but I did more Internet research and repriced it.)

Marnie aka Doe ;-) Can I write advertising copy or what? Yeah, or what.
Hehehehe.
