Why, entry level lenses for a entry level *ist and *istD. I have heard several times the *istD is entry level therefore it do not need a aperture simulator. The FAJ lenses are also entry level without aperture ring. So the fit perfectly to the *ist and *istD. A FA* 2.8/80-200 do not fit to the *istD as the powerzoom and the aperture ring is meaningless. regards Rüdiger
