And how about the 300mm f2.8 lenses? REPLY: Both these lenses are quite awkward in my opinion and a 400/2.8 is extremely awkward for a 400mm lens. A Bogen 3221 is marginal at best; much depend on the head you use. If you don't need the speed a 300/4 or 300/4.5 are better bets. They are far easier to carry and handle and demand far less of your tripod. Pål
