If you've been at all interested in purchasing an Epson Stylus Photo 1270 printer, you might like to know that you can get it for half its original price at Kmart (!) While the original $500 price has dropped below $400 at many sites, it's now a fabulous Blue Light Special at Kmart for $254.99 for a new-in-the-box unit. I received another $15.00 off by agreeing to join the Blue Light Club (?). Shipping and handling came to less than $10.00 for me in California. The "Darkroom In A Can" atmospheric system and the single malt, of course, is extra. FWIW, the 1270 uses the same inkset and cartridges as the new 1280, which has some apparently minor mechanical improvements. It prints up to nearly 13 x 44 inches. The inks will resist fading (and turning orange?) on the Epson heavyweight matte paper for more than 20 years. The similar, smaller 870 (prints 8x10") is $150. If you don't like the printer, Epson will buy it back within one year. http://www.bluelight.com/ Brian Walsh - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
