Those 2 Pandas died within the last couple of years, but recently they
'rented' 2 more.

Stuff that's worth seeing:

- The Newseum in Arlington
- The Vietnam Memorial
- The Holocaust Museum (if you can handle it)
- Georgetown (shops, food, historic stuff, architecture)
- C+O Canal (you can rent a boat at Fletcher's boat house, you can see
the Kennedy Center, and you're right at Georgetown)
- Kennedy Center (free shows every friday, I think)
- The Uptown is a *very* cool place to see a movie, plus there's good
restaurants in the area.
- The FBI has a cool tour, as does the US Mint.

My very favorite thing to see at the Smithsonian, as a kid, was the big
steam engine in the American History museum. Kids *love* it, it's really
huge. Going to see it is one of the best memories of my childhood...

Hopefully they still blow the whistle, and make the 'chugga' sounds.

Check out washingtonpost.com to see what's going on in the area when you
visit.
