Although I think I see what you mean, and think that such an arrangement has it's
benefits at times, I personally wouldn't like this being applied to the PUG.
Because...
I like it to be simply a gallery like now, where everyone can put up their picture
just to show, for whatever reason they like. The pictures are there and can be viewed
as is, or with the comments the submitter him/herself wants to add to it.
If there would be attached all these comments to each picture the gallery would turn
into a completely different thing, where the pictures no longer will be viewed
undisturbed, if you see what I mean.
As a submitter I would start to make all kinds of other considerations on what picture
to submit, if there will be such an emphasis on comments right next to it.
