Of course not, it was supposed to be hidden. Ever wonder how all those 
"secret codes" being planted by the programmers in PC games? To activate the 
stop-down metering, you have to press different buttons and turn the dials 
in certain way, and you must do it fast.  :-)

Well, I checked all custum functions that were available on the 
pre-production *ist D, and I can tell you that stop-down metering was not 
there.
