Talk about dumb smart machines, once a fella had reported frequent and unremitting fax calls that didn't download any faxes. This went on for a long time before he finally insisted the phone company check it out. To make a longer story short, it was determined the "phone calls" came from an unattended public Coke machine, somewhere out in the desert, trying vainly to tell it's keeper that it was out of product! <g> Can you believe it? Set it up with an autodialer, and ignore whatever it says...
