I agree, we should ourselves better....


2. Technology (already we are moving our communications into spread-spectrum
technology which would be virtually undetectable except as a slight rise in
background noise, leaving maybe a 200 year window of indiscriminate
electromagnetic radiation).

Yupp! I agree, but they would have detected us, being in our least energy efficient age...


In fact, I think the energy budget should be taken into account. Who spends 1/10 of a planets energy to visit some stranger they don´t know?
