<rest snipped> Hi Don, Thanks for that very comprehensive explanation. I must admit, the Sekonic range has some attractive features. My Gossen Luna-Star was a steal, but maybe it isn't my ideal meter. Mine came without the spot attachment, and I'm not impressed with the high cost of that accessory - at least here in the UK. Because of what I shoot (landscape, architectural, portrait) I would only rarely use spot metering but having that feature would still be 'a good thing'. Maybe I'll put the Gossen on eBay and see what happens. Thanks again Best regards, John
