The Optio S is really nice. As small as it is, it fit my paws just fine. Sweet little camera and is already oversold.
The *ist is puzzling. The rep who demonstrated it said it was a pre-production model and was issued to him w/o an owners manual. I like the ergonomics and am interested in hearing some results from the new Pentax 28-105 zoom that was on it, a Pentax lens, not a rebadged Tamron. The mount definitely seems "crippled" and we couldn't get it to work properly with an A series lens taken off the A setting. The closest it came was metering with DOF preview set, and I'm not sure that was correct. Bill
