The first one I recall was my dad's H3 (at least that's what I think it was).
Clip on flash shoe or light meter which coupled to the shutter speed dial. I
marveled at the precision of the controls. I think he bunged up the film
advance lever - you had to cock it 1-1/2 strokes. Takumar 55/1.8 plus a
Takumar 135/3.5.

Years later (when I had an income) I bought an SP-500 followed by an SP-II.
They were great cameras. I think I opted opted for the Super Takumar 50/1.4.
Always got great results.

Sold all my screw mount stuff 23 years ago and got an ME Super (sold it), a
black MX (which I still have), a K-1000 (still have) and a Super Program (still
have).

I'm thinking of selling off the MX (w/Winder-MX, M-40/2.8, M-50/1.4 and
45-125:4 plus SA and SG-1 focusing screens) and the Super Program (w/Motor-A,
A-50/1.7 and A-70-210/4 and AF-280T flash). That will leave me with the K-1000
and my M-50/2, M-28/3.5 and M-135/3.5 For what I do these days that's about
all I need.
