Do you really think that a photo of the male genitals is that much more shocking than a photo essay about a suicide? I notice that no one criticized Mike for just dumping that on our lap with no warning, but someone who just had to go through the trauma of losing a loved one to suicide doesn't need that thrust in his/her face. I'm not saying that it's wasn't a moving essay, because I was moved by it. All I'm saying is that this discussion seems to be about subject, not quality; people are objecting to the penis shot because of its subject matter, not because it was simply a *bad* penis shot. So, by the same standards, it doesn't matter how good or bad the suicide essay was; it was still a site that had the potential to be very traumatic for some, and Mike posted that link to the list without a warning. If you're going to criticize Valentin, criticize Mike as well. chris
