Hey, Dave, What type of a wimp do you take me for? I wuz out there today! <g> This morning was brutal, but the bikes actually got along better than the cars, I think. They were skidding around way more than we were, plus, we have the "sidewalk option".
By about 1:00 pm, the main roads were mostly slush, so it was just a wet, crappy day after that (try cycling with wet feet at -7C - even with neoprene shoe covers, it aint' fun, lemme tell ya). My bike literally has about 10 pounds of snow caked on it - it's drying in the hallway as we speak. Kripes, I hope this is winter's last blast! cheers, frank ps: I don't remember where I was or was going when you saw me yesterday. If I was going fast, are you sure it was me? <g> No camera, but it wouldn't have been the MX in any event! -ft "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" wrote: > I believe Frank may be home today - the roads in downtown Toronto aren't > nearly as rideable as they were yesterday. > I spotted him booting up University yesterday just after noon but he was > clocking a fair pace so it was pointless to yell and ask him why he wasn't > wearing his MX :) > > Cheers, > Dave > > Original Message: > ----------------- > From: Brendan [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Date: Wed, 5 Mar 2003 08:58:16 -0500 (EST) > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: Shoveling in Chicago > > 10 inches here so far and more expected. > > --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Time to go out and shovel > the 6-8 inches that fell > > last night. :-( > > I can't believe 2 feet in Jerusalem!
