I know how strange the subject of this post is looking, but as a matter of
fact there were:
- Pentax EI-2000 - that was rather DZLR with non-removable lens (something
a'la Oly E10, but unfortunately it had poor chip/electronics made by HP
performance)
- MZ-D - shown 2 years ago - it was in more advanced stadium than *ist D is
now, again poor full frame chip preformance - but this time Pentax didn't
decide to go with this offer (fortunately - it would be financial disaster
for expected 6000$)
- and now, as the third - *ist D
So if we take EI-2000 and MZ-D in consideration, Pentax is not so completely
"new" in DSLRs. From this point of view, *ist D is not first genration DSLR
from Pentax.
