You're observant.  :)  I prefer MF and MedF, so I don't really use AF
stuff unless I'm just playing around.

Yup, I've played with it a while.  It's not a bad camera... Minolta always
made good, well-built bodies.  The LCD screen which rotates the info
according to the horizontal/vertical position of the camera is gimmicky,
but the camera itself has a decent viewfinder.  Too bad I'm not fond of
many Minolta AF lenses.

Most Minoltas are.

What's to hate about Nikkors?  NIC ain't any SMC, but they're not
