Hi,
again, great gallery. I think it's one of the best, with some
really, really stunning photographs. It really is a big one too, so I
will just start, with those that caught my eye:

"Betsy on the Rocks II" by Ed Mathews, good shot. I like the pose of
the girl better on this one, but high contrast (or is it just IR
film?) is to evident for my taste on this closer photo.

"Kasia" by Dominik Ataman, I like it, especially interesting -
innocent? - is expression on model's face.

"Hand" by Versal Cross, I love it, very well observed (or better,
arranged?), good composition and execution. No. 2.

"Winter morning at the Lake" by Allan Møller, I like the stillness
and the composition of this photo. I find the colours to be to warm,
though.

"Touching Beauty " by Ollen Mullis. Nice touch. :)

"At Speed in the Corner" by Frank Theriault, great shot, It does have
some kind of surrealistic feel that I really like. My No. 1 this
month.

"Katmai's finest (Ursus arctos)" by Ken Waller, good wildlife shot.

"Industrial Photography" by Tiger Moses, I'm happy for you, Tiger,
for getting in the business. Congratulation. Fill in flash is just
right here, good one.

"Oops" by Conrad Samuels, very, very good catch of the moment. Being
a big windsurfing fan myself I'm specially attracted to this kind of
photo. Only thing I miss is a bit of sharpness and it would be
perfect.

"River Avon, Christchurch, NZ" by Linda McKie, great use of IR film.
Stunning. No. 3.

" Foggy "by Rob Studdert, whoow, I love the perspective. I'm not sure
about the white car, though. I think I'd prefer it without the car
at all. Great photo anyway.

"Steel Sculpture at Tel-Aviv Museum, Detail" by Daphne Schnitzer,
simple, and effective. I like it. How did you get such uniformly
white background? Is it artificial or is it a clouded sky?

"Gulls, New Brighton Pier, Christchurch, NZ"by Colin McKie, on the
first sight, it gives me the feeling of solitude. On second sight,
seagulls give it life. Like it.

"Shadow Rage" by Gianfranco Irlanda, simply - love it. My kind of
photo.

"Woman in a shower" by Chris Niesmertelny, original approach, good
colours, everything fits.

"Oh Rose!" by Mark Cassino, nice monochrome looking colour photo.

"Droplets...." by Arnold Stark, hey, you got that well...

"Cameo" by William Johnson, I love the expression on the face and
grain is great. To me, a dress is a bit too dominant, though.

"Flower Stand" by Gerald Cermak, great use of that 77 limited. :-)

"Hoopster" by Nick Wright. Nick, it is not only your editor who likes
the shot. :) It's great. Too bad it is of such a small size on the
net. I hope you will win the contest with it.

"Woops" by William Robb, well, great reporter work. Timing coudn't
be better.

"Reflection" by Erin Dayton. Nice photo, good observation. Keep
up with the good work.

"Irazu" by Gerald Wang, stunning scenery, good composition. Is the
crater taken by Roberto Burgos a while ago one of the other two you
mention? Take a look: http://pug.komkon.org/00ma/Volcan_Poas.jpg

"Genesis" by Alin Flaider, love this one. Long exposure made great
effect on the hands. It's a pity the actor's face looks just a bit
burnt out. Or is it just my taste? Nevertheless, great use of your
Velbon, Alin. :)

" At the door " by Luis Pinar. Same child, still very good portrait.
The bread in her(?) hand makes a touch and the door slowly leads
observers view to the child's face.

"Inside Out" by Paul Stenquist, busy photo with firm point of view -
woman's look. I'd like to take this shot.

Big thanks to the PUG team.

Ciao, Matjaz
