Well, perhaps Pentax missed the boat--or at least the boat on which I
would have liked to sail. A new high-quality rangefinder (um, but less
expensive than Leica) Pentax rangefinder paired with the Limited lenses
would have had an easier time than the MZ-S in snaking those dollars out
of my wallet. Pentax already has a Limited lens in Leica screw mount;
perhaps releasing the "rangefinder" lenses in M mount might provide a
fine alternative to the (apparently very good to excellent) new Bessa
and Konica rangefinder lenses. Damn. A 31mm, 43mm, and 77mm would have
been my whole kit, and roughly equivalent to the Mamiya 7 lenses I carry
when I want to burn more film.
