Yep. You can say that again. He and his photos pretty much single-handedly turned me from a point-and-shooter with a passing interest in birds to an avid photographer with a passion for wildlife. I owe him lots, and hope to repay him someday. I randomly happened across his website just over a year ago, we exchanged a few emails [He'll probably laugh since "few" is a slight understatement for the barrage of questions I had]... and the rest is history (in the making, that is). Great photos. Great guy... and nope, he's not even paying me (that much) for this extended website plug. So whenever I see threads that are along the lines of "how did you happen into photography?" I always grin because my answer is simple: Mark made me do it. Since joining about 16 months ago, I've met the work of a lot of other inspiring photogs here on PDML as well... Gianfranco quickly comes to mind, as well as the portrait work of Cotty and Tom "oops!" Van Veen... The rest are, of course, too numerous to name... but in short I send a big thanks to all of you who have given me something to work towards. At least you know that the time that you dedicate to your personal websites is very much appreciated by at least one person out here [who is *not* related to you and hence not obligated to like your work]. Lastly, here's Mark's website once again, in case ya missed it in the previous thread. Link from my email, and maybe I'll get an extra commission <vbg> http://www.markcassino.com - jerome
