Well, that's just what many of the PLG contributors thought before sending along their images to add to the Pentax Lens Gallery - <g> (now hosted alongside the PUG at http://plg.komkon.org/ ). > If you're interested, I could add test shots (that I should make > first) with a 135mm/3.5M lens, with a 100mm/2.8M lens, and a Kiron > 105mm Macro P/KA lens. ~I~ (and I would assume at least a few others) would welcome your contributions for these lenses. > But before shooting myself into bankruptcy, I would like to know > if you're interested in these shots. Well, having spent some time and money putting a lot of images of brick walls and other mundane targets into the PLG myself, I can offer absolutely no assurances against "shooting [your]self into bankruptcy" - <g>. > If so: under what conditions were the other shots taken? Aperture, > Auto/manual shutter speed, etc... That's very difficult to answer. First, take a look at a bunch of images already in the PLG. Most (if not all) have at least some exposure details stated (and they all ~should~ provide such info). Generally, the contributor gets to decide what shooting conditions are most useful for demonstrating what he/she most wants to show for a particular lens. > And: where should I mail the results? Please be prepared to mail them to me ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) along with the essential details on each image. Please follow the guidelines for image format (which will be similar to the guidelines for PUG submissions) that I'm providing in a separate new PDML thread ("Pentax Lens Gallery Submissions"). (Hmmm... I guess I should also be putting the submission guidelines right in the PLG - <g>.) Having just recently succeeded in setting up the PLG on the KOMKON server, I haven't had a chance yet to add some more of my own images (for some of the lenses already shown there, plus for some additional lenses), but I hope to be able to do so shortly. And, I invite - in fact, I encourage - others to add their own lens images to the PLG. Thanks for your interest in contributing to the PLG. Fred
