Wow! Didn't know that!
The only time I was in Toronto, I was a guest of a member of some
Toronto yacht/sailing club, and we were feted on a small island
offshore, in some sumptious building. The yacht club?
A dinner of monumental proportions... Mid to late fall it was.
Had to take the captain's gig over and back, and you couldn't go
except as a guest of one of the members.

Los Angeles has a Chinatown, of course, as well as a Korea town, etc.
However, the regional centers are not so encapsulated as it sounds
like the GTA is. We have literally dozens if not hundreds of fine
Chinese restraurants scattered all around greater L.A. Same with
Italian, Korean, Thai, Indian, etc.
Toronto is smaller, and as a result, their *-towns are more compacted.
I suspect.

However, good to know. I DO plan to visit Toronto again and enjoy
myself, as I did back then!
Thanks for the info!
