Hello all,

I have a question about P-TTL on the MZ-S using the AF360 flash and ...
wait for it ... Bellows.

The MZ-S will not use P-TTL if you put on a pre "A" lens (for example a
set of bellows). I know that it is possible to fool the camera by
drilling out contacts on the lens mount, but before I take to the
bellows with a drill I wanted to get my logic checked to be sure it
will actually work. I use an MZ-S with bellows M with a SMC-M 50mm
f1.4 reverse mounted (and occasionally a 2 times converter as well - 8
time magnification to the film) with lighting provided by 2 AF360's
mounted on a bracket about 6 inches on either side of the lens.

I think the bellows tells the camera that the aperture is wide open,
does anyone know for sure?

Does anyone know if the P-TTL burst is sent with the aperture wide open
of closed down?

If the P-TTL test burst is normally sent with the aperture wide open,
will enough light make it down the lens for it to get the exposure
measured correctly? I normally shoot with the lens on f16 or f22.

Any information would be appreciated, as I don't want to do
irreversible damage unless I know this is going to work.
